My overall rankings for 2QB dynasty leagues. A few quick notes: (IMPORTANT)
- These are my big board rankings based on integrating my positional rankings. I may not follow them straight up in a startup draft based on age strategy. For example, I may draft a startup looking past 2015 and trying to create a juggernaut in the future. If you want to build a very competitive 2015 team, you may rank some of the veterans much higher.
I also believe in drafting "pairings" in startups. This involves pairing short term and long term options. My big board may not reflect these type of moves. If you like Tyler Eifert or Austin Sefarian Jenkins but know you can't start them yet, pair him with Antonio Gates or Delanie Walker who you can start in the short term. My running back rankings may be different than some because I don’t believe in using a long window for projecting running backs. I generally think, "How good will he be in 2015 and possibly beyond." An injury, A free agent, a draft pick, or a regression can turn a stud running back into a committee back in a hurry. I encourage you to shorten your running back window. I use the idea of “would I make the trade” in most of my positional rankings. Of course, this varies greatly based on how competitive your team is in the short or long term. Know your league settings/scoring before going off anyone else’s rankings and adjust accordingly. Points for passing TD is one of the most important variables. Also, extra flex positions can take some of the emphasis off of the Quarterbacks.
The quarterback position has a lot of parity. However, you do not want to be one of the last teams to have your second quarterback in 10 or 12 team leagues. Quarterbacks score too many points for you to start Derek Carr or Blake Bortles every week when someone else has Ben, Brady or Romo as their QB2 These rankings are for full 1.0 PPR and assumes 12 team leagues.
